Our Story : The Soul Behind Morpankh

Over a humble cup of tea with family, an idea blossomed  one rooted in passion for Indian décor, purpose towards honouring traditional craftsmanship, and pride in the rich heritage of India. Morpankh was born not just as a boutique store showcasing authentic Indian artisanship, but as a celebration of the timeless magic of handmade artistry and culture.

But this journey hasn’t been Meenakshi’s alone. Her children, Nishtha and Arjun, have brought their own distinct energies into Morpankh, shaping it into what it is today. Together, the sibling duo infused the space with fresh perspective, creative flair, and modern sensibility — while remaining deeply rooted in the traditions their mother nurtured.

Nishtha’s keen eye for aesthetics, storytelling, and contemporary design seamlessly blends with Arjun’s grounding presence and shared appreciation for heritage, resulting in a brand that bridges generations and mindsets. United by a common love for Indian craftsmanship, the siblings work in harmony to ensure that Morpankh remains both timeless and relevant.

With each intricate carving, each brushstroke, and each hand-woven piece, Morpankh tells the tale of India’s diverse crafts — from the deserts of Rajasthan to the valleys of Kashmir, from tribal Odisha to spiritual Varanasi. Morpankh brings together a hand-curated variety of exquisite paintings, lamps, idols, consoles, mirrors, and so much more.

But this journey hasn’t been Meenakshi’s alone. Her daughter, Nishtha, infused Morpankh with her creative flair — one that resonates with modernity, while remaining rooted in tradition. Together, this mother-daughter duo has shaped Morpankh into a space that bridges generations, while paying tribute to India’s artistic soul. Stories of generations keeping alive artforms like Dhokra, Madhubani, Pattachitra and many more.

At the heart of Morpankh lies a vision — to bring forgotten crafts back into the limelight, to give voice to the skilled hands that create them, and to make homes across the world richer with the stories of soulful heritage.

We believe that the language of art transcends time and generations. It can speak volumes. Through Morpankh, we want to bring together artists, storytellers, and heritage seekers. So, we invite you to not just explore Morpankh and bring home a living piece of forgotten India, but embed it into your own décor story. This journey is more than decor — it’s our way of preserving the soul of India, one handcrafted piece at a time.
